Collection for Ukraine

Thank you for your support of the Barnabas Fund in its efforts to bring relief to those affected by the war in Ukraine. A full car load of tinned food and warm clothing was taken to the collection point at Tring for the journey Eastwards. Most supplies are going to Moldova and Romania with some going into Ukraine to help internal refugees via Barnabas Fund’s church contacts in the region. Thank you as well to those who made cash donations which Barnabas is using to help churches in the region which are accommodating refugees.

Hot Cross Buns

Very many thanks to Lyn Walker for baking so many orders of Hot Cross Buns after the famous and distinctive St. Alban’s Abbey recipe. £28-50 was raised for church funds.

The sacristan assists the parish priest by helping to prepare for services and by caring for the sacred vessels and vestments.

No previous experience is required as full training will be given. This is a voluntary post which would suit anyone who wants a greater role in the liturgical life of the church, but is happy to work in the background.

For an informal discussion please speak to Father Andrew.

Advertisements in ‘Together’

If you have appreciated reading the ‘Together’ periodical published by the Church Union on behalf of the Catholic Societies of the Church of England you might like to make a donation towards the cost of St. Peter’s Easter advertisement.

Contributions support the publication of the paper and make a statement about our corporate life as part of the Richborough family.

Donations please to Fr. Andrew.

Churchwarden Anne Swerling (020 8950 8923) would like to hear from anyone who could spare time to help keep the church open at various times during the week with a vew to discussing this very worthwhile outreach to visitors wishing to look around or just spend some quiet time in prayer.

Please give names/contact details to her as soon as possible.

Thank you

The Red Trust, Bushey

Please feel free to contribute to this if you wish.

The box can be found at the back of church by the sound cupboard.
